Why I started Culture Crush?

A few years ago I started researching the gut microbiome and fermented foods. I began making amazake at home for its health benefits and started experimenting with different fermentations and flavors. Those around me kept on asking me to make them more amazake, so I decided to start Culture Crush!

Bio

After high school I was a model and travelled all over the world for work. I got to learn about different cultures and how they use nutrition for holistic health and wellness in different ways to what I had seen growing up in Europe. I then moved to California for college, and did my undergrad and master’s at the Stanford University School of Engineering. During my master’s, I focused on health tech, and applied my engineering background to the medical world. Together with other students we started a nonprofit, TeleHelp Ukraine, to provide free medical and mental healthcare to Ukrainians affected by the war. Working with patients only grew my passion for nutrition and how it impacts our overall health, which drove me to create Culture Crush!
